I. In what ways has the Constitution placed limitations on the African American pursuit of universal freedom, and how do these limitations persist today?

II. Provide a definition of power and analyze the interplay between power and freedom.

III. Define federalism and evaluate its potential advantages and disadvantages for racial or ethnic groups in their efforts to attain freedom and equality.

IV. Explain the concept of the "dual process of political socialization" and elaborate on the functioning of the "agents" or "transmitters of socialization" within the African American community.

V. Examine the influence of the black church and music on the political socialization of African Americans.
