Overview

For this homework, you will examine literature related to the topic you selected for the Literature Review: Topic Submission homework. You will develop a presentation identifying general trends in elementary social studies education associated with a set of articles in the content area. You will study the latest trends and issues related to your selected topic and compile your findings into a PowerPoint presentation of at least ten slides.

Instructions

I. Employ the use of Liberty's JFL Library Resources (online) to identify articles in your selected topic area.

II. Begin classifying and compiling articles and sub-topics into groups of information for presentation. By the end of your research, you should have scanned at least 30 articles in the process. Of these articles, note and sort them into at least five trends.

III. The final product should be a PowerPoint presentation consisting of:

1. A minimum of ten, but not to exceed 20 slides.

2. Five trends related to your topic. Provide 1-2 paragraphsdescribing each trend. For each trend, provide descriptions of what types of literature and discussions are available. Analyze the direction the trend is heading.

3. A critique of the methods and approaches employed by the authors of the literature you are reviewing. Present any weaknesses, assumptions, and issues you identify.

4. Description of gaps in the knowledge and research by identifying areas of the trend in need of further research.

5. A bibliography submitted as a Word document of at least 30 articles in current APA format.
