Take a scene from Citizen Kane and analyze it according to some of these themes the way you see it--his use of deep focus, his use of casting. You might even open a separate document to analyze a couple of these scenes from Citizen Kane, and then bring in Ebert and/or Giannetti to support what you want to see in these scene.

After reading the whole draft, you've got a couple of ideas that would work really well when applied to 1-2 scenes of the movie that would help show how they work:

1.) Opening sequence of Kane in terms of pacing, dissolve, deep focus, or camera use

2.) window scenes and use of deep focus and tie to themes of the film, and Kane in particular. Just be careful to cite any idea coming from a source and to put more than 3 words in a row from a source in direct quotes, then cite it.

Use Purdue Owl, Grammarly, or another writing support site to help you with the prose flow, but the ideas here are very workable. Just drop anything that doesn't fit with your own analysis of a specific scene.
