ASSIGNMENT QUESTION - This assignment requires you to write an essay on the safeguarding measures that were introduced following on from the Public Inquiry which was led by Robert Francis QC, into Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital. (The Francis Inquiry began in 2010)

Analyse why the abuse in Mid Staffordshire Hospitals happened. Evaluate and apply the safeguarding legislation and the safeguarding guidelines that have been put in place to prevent a similar tragedy happening.

Ensure you analyse the types of abuse that were experienced and the impact of this abuse on individuals, groups and society.
