Group Case Study Analysis and Presentation
Your task
Collectively, you and your group required to analyse a case study from the entrepreneur and investor perspectives during an in-class activity.
Assessment Description
In this group assessment, students will be given an opportunity to evaluate the internal and external environment for a proposed business venture or service and the risks and benefits of entrepreneurialism and the ways in which these can be mitigated and embraced.
Assessment Instructions
During week 8, you will be given in-class time to form groups of three to four members (no more). Once you have created a group, you then need to get acquainted with the rest of the members.
During week 9 class, you and your group will be given 90 minutes to work on a case study which will be distributed by the workshop facilitator.
Based on the case study information, your groups' first task is to prepare one page written summary that provides a concise overview of the entrepreneurial idea, the problem it is solving and the customers it is targeting. You and your group will then need to provide this written summary to your workshop facilitator before moving onto the next task.
Your second task is to prepare a 10-minute presentation in which you and your group members are to critically analyse the venture's opportunity and its potential and future strategy by considering the following questions:
- What do you think is the essence of this venture?
- Which traits does this entrepreneur have?
- What did you discover or learn that surprised you about this venture?
- What do you think will be the long term future of this venture?
