Imagine Nivea is extending its brand by launching Nivea hair and beauty salons/stores (which would have the full Nivea range) as well as introducing Nivea hair colouring products.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these brand extensions for the Nivea brand. Additionally, explain the managerial assumptions behind the decision to launch the extensions.
