Question: Organizational development (OD) is the practice of helping organizations solve problems and reach their goals. As an OD practitioner in the role of consultant, you collaborate and communicate with organizational teams, departments, and committees to identify issues, plan strategies for change, and enhance organizational performance.

Consider what you already know about consulting for organizational change. Perhaps you have had personal experience with organizational development or change. Maybe you are part of a self-managed work team or transformative global corporation, or this may be your first foray into the world of consulting. In this Discussion, you reflect on your knowledge of organizational change and examine the skills required of OD consultants.
