Question: Singer's argument that significant giving to charity is an obligation for most middle class and above Americans. For this week's flipgrid assignment I would like you to explain Singer's argument to at least one other person you know (a family member or friend) and post at least one minute explaining whether you and the person you know agreed with or disagreed with Singer's view and why.

Do not get too bogged down in HOW much Singer thinks we have an obligation to give, but focus more on the idea that if we give nothing and instead buy many luxury items we have done something morally wrong.

You should bring up the drowning child example in your discussion with the person you know and feel free to address Arthur's critique of Singer.
