ASSIGNMENT- DRAWING WITH BEARINGS

Make sure to read each line of instructions completely before starting!!!

1. Start a new drawing from the Student Template.
2. Beginning with the Northwest corner of Block 15 (see supplemental sheet) at Absolute0,0

a. Add in all the property lines from Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 using Relative Coordinates with Bearing as demonstrated in class - use Layer "Property Lines"

b. Add the Utility Easements where indicated on the sheet - use Layer "Utility Easements"

c. Add the Street Centerlines for the streets bordering the lots - use Layer "Street Centerline"

3. Set Active layer to "1st DIM" and using Dim Style "Eng. Site" add:

a. 1 aligned dimension indicating the size of the Utility Easement on either the West or South side of Lot 1
b. 2 aligned dimensions indicating the Utility Easement split on the property line between

Lots 4 & 5 (note the total of these 2 dimensions should equal the dimension from step 3a)

4. Set Active layer to "1st -Notes" and use MTEXT and QLEADER to create all of the text objects as appropriate:

a. MTEXT style "ItalicT" with a Text Height of:

i. 4' for Lot Lables
ii. 2'-6" for Property Line labels
iii. 3' for QLeaders

5. Set Active layer to "Marker Pins" and insert copies of the block "FD YPC" such that its insertion point is centered on each Property Line vertex (there should be 16 total)

6. Go the the Title Block Layout and set up the viewport to correctly display your drawing at a scale of 1" (in.) = 30' (ft.)

7. On the layout set up a TABLE with:

a. 6 columns, 5 rows
b. This will be an abridged Curve Table for Curves C60-C64, each column refers to the same information in the original curve table (see supplementalsheet)

8. Fill out Title Block as shown in class.

9. Save file following standard file naming procedures:

a. Example: CAD1a - 01 - Assignment #5 - Wade Wilson - 10Oct.dwg
