Your lifelong dream to open a restaurant is about to come true. In fact, even though you haven't found a location, you've already chosen a name: the Flying Star Cafe.

Fortunately, you can use your Photoshop skills to save some money by designing your own promotional advertisements. You've created the initial background art, but need to complete the image.

1. Open PS 14-3.psd, then save it as Flying Star.

2. Activate the Flying Star layer, then open the Liquify dialog box.

3. Display the mesh in a size and color you think are appropriate.

4. Change the freeze mask color to Red (if necessary).

5. Use the brush size of your choice to freeze the face in the lower-left corner.

6. Use the Twirl Clockwise tool and a Brush Size of 60 to distort the bright shooting star.

7. Use the Bloat tool with a Brush Size of 250 to distort the shooting star.

8. Turn off the mesh, then click OK to close the Liquify dialog box.

9. Add a type layer that says Flying Star Cafe. (Hint: You can use any color and any font available on your computer. In the sample, a Poor Richard font is shown.)

10. Use the bounding box to change the size of the text.

11. Warp the type layer using the style and the settings of your choice. (Hint: Do not rasterize the type layer.)

12. Apply the type effects of your choice to the text.

13. Make any color adjustments you feel are necessary. (Hint: In the sample, the Levels were adjusted so that the input midtones are .69.)

14. Add any filter effects that you determine are necessary to enhance the image. (In the sample, the Lens Flare filter was set at 105mm Prime at 90% Brightness and positioned over the flying star.)

15. Save your work, then compare your image to the sample in Figure 21.

16. Zip and submit your completed assignment to your instructor.
