Relate the life cycle of the American family to the evolution of the family from a sociological perspective discussed in the article entitled, "The Changing American Family: The View from Social Texts" by Drs. McCarthy and Farganis.

Begin your essay by defining what is meant by a social construct from a sociological point of view. Then discuss how the institution of the family can be viewed as a social construct. Then list the various topics we have discussed from a social constructionist point of view.

Finally, pick one of these topics and discuss it from a social constructionist perspective. Be sure to include certain aspects of the topic to exemplify your point. Also 1.5-2 pages (Please do not use more than 3 outside resources!)
