For this assignment, you will choose a hashtag surrounding a controversial issue, and you will use your exploration of the hashtag as a way to look at the issue from multiple perspectives. While you will look at the issue from many sides, you will need to make a claim of your own about the issue and support it throughout your essay. This essay will be research-based, and you will follow the structure explained below (with some flexibility allowed). You must use a minimum of six sources for your essay: 2 scholarly, 2 popular, and 2 uses of your hashtag in social media (tweets, facebook posts, instagram posts. etc).
Your paper and paragraphs will be structured in the following way (these are minimum requirements-you can do more):
1. Introduction with you claim2. A paragraph giving background of your issue3. Introdbction and explanation of counter claim 1 along with your response to counter claim 1 (minimum 1 paragraph)4.
