A car radiator has an effective heat transfer area of ??15 m2. Cooling water temperature is 85 C in and the 60 C out of the radiator. The engine power is 25 hp and its effective thermal efficiency is 0.25. The amount of heat is carried away in the cooler is assumed to be 30% of the added heat of the fuel.

a) Calculate how much water must be circulated through the radiator per minute.

b) Draw Temperature profile and calculate the heat through the initial coefficient of the radiator, if one assumes that the air temperature is constant at 20 C.
