The nature of energy audit to be performed depends on:

2          The depth to that final audit is needed; and

3          The potential and magnitude of cost reduction desired.

There are various types of energy audits. These are listed below in order of increasing scope and, thus, cost:

1          Preliminary Audit,

2          Utility Cost Analysis,

3          Standard Energy Audit, and

4          Detailed Energy Audit.
