Development of a Octahedron:

The octahedron is regular polyhedra having of eight equal faces, each an equilateral triangle.

Procedure

(a) Sketch the projection of the solid along with an axis vertical and a face perpendicular to VP.

(b) After that mark the corners as a, b, c, d, e and f in plan and elevation, along with f in HP as displayed in diagram (a).

(c) Situate F and sketch equilateral triangles as FAB, FBC, FCD and FDA.

Now sketch equilateral triangle as ABE on AB, BCE on BC, CDE upon CD and DAE on DA to finish the development.
