Creep ParametersIn the range of temperature and for stress levels that are employed in practice creep is an extremely slow process and for a substantial deformation to happen it may be an extremely long time. For collecting information on creep of a new alloy this may commonly take very long time as about 10,000 hours or 11 years. There is no way via which these tests can be developing and technological acceleration cannot wait for data assimilation on a new material that has been enhanced say before a year or two. Efforts were concentrated on means to enhance methods that could predict long- term creep behaviour via making employ of short-term test. Those methods depended upon data extrapolation.
