Determination of Average Pressure
The average pressure can be ascertained as:
pF1 = F1 / vL
pF2 = F2 / wL
pF3 = F3/ uL
Where L = length of the carriage, and v, w, u = the width of slideway faces on which forces F1, F2 and F3 are acting correspondingly.
