Write short notes on empirical estimation models, Software Engineering

Assignment Help:

Write short notes on empirical estimation models.

Estimation model for computer software uses empirically derived formulas to assume effort as a function of line of codes (LOC) and function points (FP). The values of LOC and FP estimated are plugged into estimation model. The empirical data that support most estimation models are derived from a limited sample of projects. So, results get from models should be used judiciously. The model must be tested and compared with real and predicted data
