Interference of Rectangular Pulses: Two rectangular wave pulses are on a stretched string traveling toward each other. Each pulse is traveling with a speed of 1.00 mm/s. If the leading edges of the pulses are 8.00 mm apart at t=0 s, sketch the shape of the string at t = 4 s, t = 6 s, and t = 10 s. A diagram comes with this problem. It looks like a string starting horizontal and turning upwards at a right angle (height 3 mm) then it turns right at a 90 degree angle with length 4 mm. Next, the string turns down for another 3 mm and then goes back to horizontal with length 8 mm. Then, it turns down for a drop of 4 mm turning back right to horizontal for 4 mm, turns upward for a height of 4 mm and then goes back to a horizontal, in line with the first. I hope this description of the diagram helps to solve the problem! Thanks!
