How to determine the market economy

Within a market economy there are strong competitive forces at work which ensure that failure to enhance owners' wealth won't be tolerated for long. Competition for funds provided by the owners and competition for managers' jobs would normally mean that owners' interests will prevail. If managers don't provide expected increase in ownership wealth, owners have the power to replace existing management team with a new team which is more responsive to owners' needs.
