LAN Topologies

The term topology explains the geographic arrangement of networking devices. It explains the actual layout of the network hardware. Given the location of workstations and peripherals, the goal of topology is to search the most economical and efficient way to connect all the users to the network resources whereas providing adequate capacity to handle user demands, handle system reliability and minimize delay.
