ISOLATED SYSTEM:
"When a number of bodies are like that they can exert force upon one another and no external agency exerts a force on them, they are said to form an isolated system".
EXAMPLES:
The molecules of a gas enclosed in a vessel at constant temperature form an isolated system of interacting bodies. The enclosed molecules collide with one another because of their random motion but no external force acts on them.
