Objectives of object oriented analysis

After going through this unit, you should be able to:

  • define the concepts of the objects in the system;
  • express desired system behaviour in terms of business objects in the system and actions that the user can perform on them;
  • understand how to analyze and define the problem statement;
  • explain dynamic modelling;
  • explain the purpose of object modelling;
  • describe the event flow among objects and how to draw state diagrams of real world problems;
  • explain how operations can be added in various analysis techniques, and
  • understand and explain the significance of functional model;
  • explain the importance of refining the analysis model.
