External Users: Modern information systems are now reaching beyond the boundaries of traditional business to involve customers and other businesses as system users. In business-to-business information systems every business becomes an external user of other business's information systems. For illustrations in the case of direct purchasing of product through Internet, customer becomes an external user of retailer's order processing information systems.
