Define the Causes of Instrument Fracture

  • Too much apical pressure ( specially in narrow or curved canal)
  • Used in dry canal without irrigation or lubricant
  • Excessive frictional stress on instrument( hand file should not exceed ¼ turn inside the canal never full turn because it is going to fracture)
