COMMIT Statement

The COMMIT statement explicitly makes everlasting changes to the database during the present transaction. The Changes made to the database are not considered everlasting until they are committed. The commit also makes the changes noticeable to the other users.

Keyword and Parameter Description

WORK:

This keyword is the optional and has no consequence except to improve the readability.

COMMENT:

These keywords specify a comment to be related with the present transaction and are typically used with the distributed transactions. The text should be a quoted literal no more than 50 characters long.
