A public company has its shares purchased by a small group of people and ceases to be listed on stock exchange. This has many benefits including:

No more stock exchange compliances

Less likely to be taken over

Less admin costs

Concentrate on long term business needs instead of always trying to push up share price which can be seen as short term.
