"WHAT IF" SCENARIOS

Think about what you would do in the following situations and record your answers.

1. Your supervisor has given you a project to complete. There's no way you can possibly get it done by yourself in time to meet the deadline. Your coworkers have expressed willingness to help, but you're used to working alone.

2. Three coworkers approach you, angry about a new policy. They're rounding up support to complain to management and want you to get involved.

3. A new person joins your work group. She's much older than everyone else and no one seems to like her. It's time to go to lunch and your coworkers leave her behind.

4. At an employee recognition dinner, the head of your company calls you to the stage to praise you for creating a new inventory tracking system. Although three of your coworkers helped you a lot, their names aren't mentioned.

5. A patient has returned to your practice three times in the past month. You keep reminding him of the importance of taking all of his medications at the proper time, but he isn't following the instructions.
