Seed compnay has a test plot in which it is testing the germination of a hybird seed. They plant 50 rows of 40 seeds per row. After a two-week period, the researchers count how many seed per row have sprouted. They noted that least number of seeds to germinate was33 and some rows had all 40 germinates. The germination data is given below. The random variable x represents the number of seed in a row that germinates and P(x) represents the probability of selecting a row with that number of seeds germinating. Determine the standard deviation of the number of seeds per row that germinated.
x: 33 34 34 36 37 38 39 40P(x):0.02 0.06 0.10 0.20 0.24 0.26 0.10 0.02

Out of forty students, 14 are taking English Composition and 29 are taking Chemistry. If five students are in both classes, how many students are in neither class? How many are ineither class?
Normal adult Mean Temperature is 98.2 and standard deviant is 0.62 with normal distribution. If 16 people are randomly selected determine the probability that their mean body temp is below 98.5 degrees.
Find the discrete probability distribution for the random variable X and compute the corresponding mean and standard deviation.
A contingency table has 5 rows and 4 columns. How many degrees of freedom are there?
The population standard deviation was 1.68 years. Using the 99% degree of confidence, what is the confidence interval for the population mean.

A sample of 50 retirees is drawn at random from a normal population whose mean age and standard deviation are 75 and 6 years, respectively.
Construct a frequency distribution (class, tally and frequency) for the data set using the indicated number of classes. In the table, include the midpoint, relative frequencies and cumulative frequencies.
Let's suppose that we have 2 variables year and age.. I use STATA to make them into dummy variables as follows:
