One of the most fundamental issues facing any company involves how to provide a fair and competitive compensation package for employees. In creating a compensation package, employers may incorporate the following elements of compensation: salary, fringe benefits, deferred compensation and retirement plan benefits. Excluding salary, should all employees enjoy access to exactly the same compensation benefits (fringe benefits, deferred compensation, and retirement plan benefits) regardless of job description? Why or why not? Please state the basis for your position and the factors which influenced your decision.
