A container with a removable partition contains gas A and gas B. Gas A is at 400K and 10.0 atm and gas B is at 400K and 4.00 atm. The partition is removed and the gases mix. Given the mole fraction of A is 0.54, the total volume of the container is 50.0 L and the process is isothermal (assuming the gases are ideal):

a) What is the volume of gas A before the partition was removed? L

b) What is the total pressure after mixing? atm?
