Research, which includes reviewing information made available from the website, the annual report, press releases and media coverage of the corporate organisation, regarding its history, current strategy, organizational structure, culture, innovation process and previous experiences of entrepreneurial activities.
• Drawing from the EML reading lists and relevant literature recommended and as taught in class to assist in the evaluation of the selected organisation and, based upon this, inform the recommendations you offer to develop. Recommended reading will also provide a helpful resource for the successful completion of this assignment
• Evaluating the situation of the organisation and proposing recommendations which can help it to be more entrepreneurial including an appropriate entrepreneurial strategy which can implemented.
Groups should produce a group report (max. 3000 words) which outlines the involvement of the selected organisation in entrepreneurial activities and the offered recommendations regarding how the organisation can improve its competitive position by becoming more entrepreneurial. The report should contain relevant details, examples and references, highlighted by the indicative structure below:
• Title
• Introduction (Aims, methods and assumptions)
• Company background and industry context
• Assessment of corporate entrepreneurship practices, culture, intensity
• Forms of corporate entrepreneurship used currently and in the past
• Evaluation of organizational setting (HR, strategy, structure and culture) and assessment of how these factors have helped or hindered corporate entrepreneurial activities
• Identification of any corporate entrepreneurs/catalysts and activities in which they have been involved
• Identification of current challenges faced and how entrepreneurial activities, management and leadership may help overcome these
• Recommendations for appropriate ways to implement entrepreneurial management and leadership in the future
