Read Developing Ethical Law Enforcement Leaders: A Plan of Action and review pages 95-98 of Chapter 5 closely, as these pages offer rationalizations for police deviance and corruption as well as types of corruption and solutions for said corruption. From the videos, reading, and study you have done, address the following as they pertain to morality and ethics in a two- to three-page paper. In addition, you must also use at least two academic resources other than the required text. Resources can be found in the Ashford University Library. All sources must be properly cited.

Explain whether or not police officers should be held to a higher moral and ethical standard than the populations they serve.

Identify and discuss two theories/rationalizations presented in our text that can help to explain police corruption. Are they valid? Why or why not?

Discuss possible consequences of police corruption to the police agency, the public, and the police officer's family.
