Case Study - Bahraini retail bank and Aluminum Bahrain
This case study will help conclude all the points in the theoretical to be translated to real evidence. This case study concludes two organizations from different industries in the same region. The first organization is the Bahraini retail bank (BMI Bank) registered in Bahrain and regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain and offers all rang of retail and commercial banking services.The other organization is a Manufacturing company Aluminum Bahrain (Alba). Each organization will be presented individually in the beginning then will be contrasted with each other.
Introduction: Operations management
The operations management of any organization involves the design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the primary products and services of the organization. From an organizational point of view, operations management may be defined as the management of the direct resources that are required to produce and deliver organizational goods and services. Operations management is an area of business that is concerned with the production of goods and services, and involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective. It is also the management of resources and the distribution of goods and services to customers. However, people tend to misunderstand operations management with the subject of operations research. Most companies today are taking up the challenge to producer environmentally friendly products with environmentally friendly processes all of which falls under the purview of operations management.

Bahraini retail and commercial banking institution, BMI Bank is a retail bank, registered in Bahrain and regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain offering a full range of retail and commercial banking services. BMI Bank operates in Bahrain through a strong network of branches and ATMs with net banking for easy access to services.
Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) Manufacturing:
Aluminum Bahrain has been consistently ranked as one of the largest aluminum smelters in the world and is known for its technological strength and innovative policies. It has consistently maintained a high track record for safety and continues to enforce strict environmental guidelines and has surpassed production targets set for the year.
