At an auction, Gaylen Bennett bought fifty-five head of cattle from Tony Jansma. The next day, some of the cattle were sick. Eventually, nineteen of the fifty-five cattle died. Jansma regularly dealt in the buying and selling of cattle and held himself out as having knowledge peculiar to cattle transactions. Bennett sued for breach of the warranty of merchantability.
