A time--terminated life testing plan is desired that will accept lots with a mean life of 400 hours with a probability of 0.99 and will accept lots with a mean life of 200 hours probability of 0.05.The
test should be terminated by 80 hours.

a) Using Handbook H--108, determine the plan assuming the time to failure is exponential. Items that fail will be replaced immediately.
