History
•The University of Reading's origins which lies in the Schools of Art and Science established in Reading in1860 and 1870.
•It received a Royal Charter in the year 1926, the only university to do so between two world wars.

Sport
•Amenities includes a 89 station fitness studio, all weather pitches, cricket pitches, indoor multi-purpose courts, and hard and grass tennis courts.
•Watersports are a strong goals. Off campus we have boathouses on Thames and a sailing and canoeing club close.
