The purpose of the paper is so that you as a dental professionals are up to date on oral cancer. You need to be aware of the different ways in which oral cancer presents in the oral cavity. You should be familiar with the different types of oral cancer in the oral cavity, how they manifest, their common locations, which are more commonly found and the prognosis of them. Who is typically at risk for oral cancer and what sort of things predispose an individual to oral cancer. What lesions have we discussed are considered to be premalignant? Again some of this information is changing as well. You may also want to include treatments of oral cancer and how these treatment might significantly change our care plans for these clients.
