In The Three Feathers, the king who has three sons, permits those sons, mainly because of the two sons who deem themselves more intelligent and clever, to have three odds to claim/find their right to his kingdom, and he uses three feathers to find the direction in which the sons will travel to bring back the items that he has asked for.
