A few comments: White Nights is a special time in June when it never gets dark. This is because St.Petersburg is located in the Northern part of Russia, closer to the Northern Pole than Moscow. It's a beautiful time when people walk in the city all night long. There are numerous festivals. People from all over the world come to enjoy night walks and the beauty of this city.

At night the bridges are lifted to let the ships pass through. As St.Petersburg is located on a few islands, it is sometimes impossible to get from one part of the city to another until the bridges are let down. Watching bridges to be lifted is a magnificent view.

Peterhof Palace with its park and famous fountains used to be a summer royal residence, and it is located right outside the city. Winter Palace hosting Hermitage, one of the biggest art museums in the world, is located in the very center of the city. The YouTube links don't become interactive for some reason, so you would need to cut and paste them into your browser address line.
