Guidelines for formal written report

Each student is required to submit a report for an assessment of their business research analytical and methodology skills. The assignment should be approximately 2,250 to 2,500 words. Your report should systematically include an evaluation of the following:

[1] What is the title, author(s), date of publication, and journal/source of publication.

How does the background of the author influence his/her research findings. Research

The authors of the article on LinkedIn, Wikipedia, university bio, etc (250 words).

[2] SUMMARY of the research article. What is the Research Question, THESIS, key findings, competing arguments, and perspectives of the author(s) and other researchers in this field?
(250 words).

[3] Summarize the different ANALYTICAL PERSPECTIVES that shape the research project. Whose "side" is the author(s) on? Do you believe that there are other perspectives and/or analytical perspectives that are missing? (300 words).

[4] METHODOLOGY and DATA. Identify the Research Hypothesis. Is at least one explicitly identified? What is the Research Methodology? Is it inductive or deductive? What are the analytical techniques. Is it a single or mixed-methods approach? What are the data that are being analyzed? Is the data qualitative or quantitative-or both? How was the data collected? Are the data Primary or Secondary sources. Did the author(s) collect the data his/her self such as a survey? (500 words).

[5] What are the PRINCIPLE FINDINGS? Are there any surprises in the analysis of the data? Do the data support the Research Hypothesis? Did the author(s) objectively interpret the results? What additional information and data would you like to see to confirm or reject the results? (500 words).

[6] What is your assessment of the author(s)'s conclusions. Do you believe that the author(s) were biased or objective in interpreting the data? Did the article raise additional questions that need to be researched? Are you satisfied by the organization of the article in terms of presenting the research question, research review of other studies on the topic, objectivity of the analysis, research methods, recognition of data strengths and weaknesses, interpretation of principle findings, and objectivity of the conclusion(s). (500 words).

[7] How would you have conducted the research project differently? How would you have interpreted the results differently? Do you agree with the conclusion(s)? Why or why not? (250 words).
