A beam of electrons is first accelerated (from rest) through a region of electric potential difference V=10 keV and then made to go through a slit of width a.

a) What is the value of the momentum (px) of each electron after having passed through the electric potential region?

b) Find the width of the slit that gives the minimum dispersion or image width (on either side) of the electrons projected on a screen a distance D=0.5 m away from the slit using the uncertainty relation that is given on the formula sheet.
