Question: (a) If copper has a resistivity of 1.69 x 10^-8 ohm, what is the resistance of a long copper wire of length 1 meter with a circular cross section radius of 1.0 mm? (the area of a circle r^2.)

(b) If the wire is stretched so that its volume remains the same, but the length is doubled, what is the resistance now? (Hint: rember volume = area x length, so if length doubles volume remains unchanged, what happens to the area?
