First, compile a list of 50 new products. For example, cereal (too generic) is not a new product but Cheerios caramel oat squares would be a new cereal product. A smart tv is not new (too generic) but a Samsung smart tv with voice activated controls is a new product. Consider tabulating ads from television, magazines, or radio. A trip to the grocery store could probably yield the entire list, but the list should be limited to consumer products. Next make a table with six columns labeled as follows; new-to-the-world products, new-product line, addition to existing product line, improvement/revision of existing product line, repositioned product line, and lower priced product.

Once you have set up the table, place each of your 50 new products into one of the six categories. Tabulate the results at the bottom of each column. What conclusions can you draw from the distribution of your products? Explain fully. Your conclusions/analysis, in addition to your product table, should be at least one full page. Incorporate chapter learnings and outside resources as needed.
