The following assignment is for a marketing masters course:

The Lindner College of Business has about 2500 undergraduate students, including freshmen and sophomores who take little business course work while completing their General Education requirements in the first two years. Two years ago the College noted a significant problem with "churn," students enrolled in the college in increasing numbers, but then switched majors, transferred to other universities, or dropped out.

1. Based on your rough sense of student sentiments and behavior, develop a "tree" of Customer Satisfaction, Complaint Behavior and Retention for the undergraduate program in the LCB.

2. Then identify three critical points for managerial attention in order to control attrition.

3. Bonus: Make a compelling economic case for committing specific resources to one on these points, given that average "gross profit" per student runs about $7,000/semester.
