We often get in our own way. At least once a year, I try to take an inventory of my positive attributes and what I perceive to my negative character traits. Then, I assess my list and accept what I need to change.

To be a skilled learner, you must be a skilled thinker. To learn most effectively in the context of college, you must take charge of your learning. You must design it—plan it out. You plan learning by becoming clear as to what your goals are, what questions you have to—or want to—answer, what information you need to acquire, what concepts you need to learn, what you need to focus on, and how you need to understand it.
