Overview

This is an individual assignment. You will: describe the law making process, apply knowledge of an aspect of the legal environment to a UK organisation of your choice and demonstrate how it affects business planning and operations; explore the reasons why business organisations are dissolved and the legal processes involved; compare and contrast the legal characteristics of contrasting business organisations. You will present the findings as both an oral presentation, and a written business report.

Specifics

1. Work alone.

2. Choose an organisation that you wish to research.

3. Identify, analyse and evaluate how laws impact on your chosen organisation. Marks will be awarded for critical thinking rather than simple description.

4. Provide details of all sources of reference for your research

5. Present your findings as a ten minute power-point presentation.

6. Further, present your findings in a written business report of approximately 1000 words. A 10% variance on this word limit is acceptable.

Assessment & Weighting.

Assessment will be based on the above information (detailed under Specifics) and then scored against:

1. The formal assessment and point scoring criteria for presentations. A copy of this is available from your module tutor.
