A QC technician measures the quality for two lots of product. In the first lot, 25 units are tested and the average measurement is 75 with a standard deviation of 15. In the second lot, 32 units are tested with an average mea surement of 69 and a standard deviation of 12. Given that higher is better for this quality measurement, test the hypothesis that the quality of the second lot is lower than that of the first lot using a = 0.05. You may assume the two lots come from populations with the same variance.
