Question: Construct a relational database of your choice (HR database, Retail outlet database, Address book database are examples). The DB should contain no more than six tables. Define three business requirements that this database will provide (hint: you may think of the business requirements as 3 questions that the database must be able to provide answers to). Based on these business requirements, outline all the steps for creating the tables and retrieving data from the tables. (Show the basic syntax of CREATE and SELECT as well). Show a sample result set from the database also.
For example, the inventory tracking database that we have used as an example may have the following functionality:
1. Who is the Vendor for Part #123?2. What is the quantity of Part #123 on hand at present?3. What is the unit price of Part #123?
Submit a word doc answering all parts of the question. ACCESS is not required.
How many page faults would happen for the given replacement algorithms, assuming one, two, three, and four frames?
In order to make the SQL select statements that would manufacture running summary files for reports of the above; how would you answer the questions below?
You have to design an O(n) time randomized Monte Carlo algorithm which computes an (1 + o)- approximate ham-sandwich cut with probability 1 - n-c for any given constant c > 0.
With indicated link costs, use Djkstra's shortest path algorithm to calculate shortest path from E to all network nodes. Illustrate how algorithm works by computing table.
Design an O(n) algorithm that decides (schedules) for each node at which time slot to start sending data such that the total number of time (slots) is minimized.
Create a method findRanks in Java that accepts an unsorted array of integers vals, and starting and ending rank start and end, numbering ranks from 0,
Describe a sorting algorithm to be parsimonious if it never compares same pair of input values twice. (Supose that all the values being sorted are distinct.).
Operation code field, a mode field, to specify one of seven addressing modes, a register address field to specify one of 60 processor registers, and memory address. Specify instruction format and number of bits in each field if the instruction ..
Construct a database for a human resources group. List a few different tables and columns to store the HR information.
For instance, the constraints x1 = x2, x2 = x3, x3 = x4, and x1 6= x4 cannot be satis fied. Give an efficient algorithm that takes as input m constraints over n variables and decides whether the constraints can be satis fied.
Think about an organization, which has a rented communications channel in two buildings, building A and building B. They have a set of servers in building A,
Look up each test item in array of member items, by using sequential search. What is the worst-case running time of it. (asymptotically, in terms of n and k)?
