Adaptive Signal Processing Projects -
Prepare a project and final report from suggested topics.
Topics - Students are encouraged to suggest their own project topics which are suitable to the subject matter of the lecture. List of exemplary project topics:
1. Implementation and simulation analysis of adaptive filters with lattice structure.
2. Implementation and simulation analysis of IIR adaptive filters.
3. Implementation and simulation analysis of frequency domain adaptive filtering algorithms.
4. Implementation and simulation analysis of block adaptive filtering algorithms.
5. Simulation analysis and comparison of tracking performance of adaptive filtering algorithms.
6. Implementation and simulation analysis of Kalman filters used in some applications (e.g. tracking of objects in 2D, 3D).
7. Adaptive differential pulse code modulation (ADPCM) - implementation and simulation analysis.
8. Adaptive channel equalization - modeling, implementation and simulation analysis.
9. Adaptive noise/interference (echos) cancellation - modeling, implementation of different methods and simulation analysis.
10. Adaptive arrays. Adaptive beamforming - implementation and simulation analysis.
11. Implementation and simulation analysis of adaptive algorithms based on the concept of optimal statistically fitted observation.
